The guys at Maisto Toys sent me this present the other day that I wanted to share with you guys. It is from the Premiere Edition 1:18 diecasts which you can find online. I cannot even show you the box because I ripped it open so fast and promptly placed it to my desk instead of in my diecast car collection. The silver SLR McLaren has a hood and trunk that open and really is quite an amazing replica of the real car. This video features Jeff Zwart’s attack on Pikes Peak with his Porsche GT3. He easily defeated Rhys Millen who was the class holder before him. The Porsche flew up the mountain in the Time Attack class and sounded great doing it. Check out the intense steering work he puts him when the cars goes onto dirt.

Lamborghini Gallardo Downtown Los Angeles at Post LA Lakers Championship
What sheer stupidity broke out after the Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA championship after a close Game 7. If you were watching KTLA (I think, maybe KCAL) after the game you saw a helicopter view of this Lamborghini Gallardo getting destroyed. People threw safety cones at it, kicked it, put cones on it, and even jumped up and down on the back. They even boxed the car in forever not letting the driver leave the game area.
This was just one horrible example and the tactless Los Angeles Lakers fans. The Lamborghini probably suffered some of the most expensive damages due to it’s value but other cars got the worst of it. A taxi got burnt to the ground and other cars got windows busted along with other damage. If they do go for a three peat next year we put out a high advisory you leave anything you don’t want ruined at home. I recommend that you try the Metro to get to the game and back home or to your car. LAist has reported 38 arrests at this time. These events just show the real kind of crowds the NBA brings out. No wonder guys like Ron Artest are still in the sport.

Black Xbox 360 with Kinect System
So at a private party in downtown Los Angeles we got to grab hold of the Xbox 360 new Kinect system. Forza Motorsport 3 created an interactive game where you race a Ferarri F458 Italia down a mountain pass and acquire points from passing people. You just simply put your hands at 10 and 2 and steer the Ferrari. The gas and brake operate by itself as your steer around the cars in the pass. It was great fun and we even managed to score 200,000 points which was higher than our Turn 10/Forza host. The game also had an interesting feature that let you literally do a 360 walk around of the car without your controller. You can open the doors, change the point, hop into the interior, and even crank the car without a controller and moving your hands. The game even lets you duck down to look at thing like the wheel of the vehicle. It is quite a unique feature and we cannot wait until it is made public for purchase.

Lamborghini Gallardo Running a Parachute
Here are some snapshots of Underground Racing in Charlotte, North Carolina. They build up Lamborghini’s with twin turbo kits and currently are working on a Ferrari F-430 kit. We had some time to walk around the shop and snapped these photos for your pleasure. They are currently working on building a twin turbo kit for a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV. I was told that the car might be at SEMA in a booth if it can be finished in time! Big thanks to everyone at Mobil 1 for giving us the opportunity to preview the shop on our trip to Charlotte, North Carolina.
