Day 1 is now complete which was a fairly small leg of 250 miles. We started at the Santa Monica Pier and made a swing through Orange County for the D1GP event. After leaving Orange County it was a straight dash up I-15 to Las Vegas, Nevada. We have some great photos of the Brabus Mercedes SL, purple Audi R8, the Bugatti’s and much much more!

The black Bugatti Veyron on Day 1 was one of the dozen cars pulled over before making it to checkpoint 1 at the HardRock Hotel in Las Vegas. He came flying by us in our 144FX.com Camo Bentley when the police were blocking the interstate too slow down traffic. This was about 15-20 miles outside of Primm, Nevada while we were still in California.
As Brett will tell us he got pulled over doing about 90mph but the cops were nice enough to let him go. He told us as well the car was a pretty comfortable ride for the 250 mile leg we drove yesterday. We will try and catch up with Brett and his team in the black Bugatti Veyron again before the trip is over.

I don’t think saying anyhting matters at this point. You are looking at a gold Bugatti Veyron before Gumball stickers are put on in Long Beach today.

American Idol judge Simon Cowell is known to have quite a car collection including a Bugatti Veyron! TMZ today spotted him in Beverly Hills talking to a cop in his gorgeous black Bentley. He needs to get some aftermarket wheels on this thing already and step it up!

This garage find 37 Bugatti Type 57S that was sitting in a garage discovered upon a doctor’s death went up for sale at auction in Paris, France. You can find out more about the disocvery of this Bugatti in a story we published called Find of the Decade: 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante right at the turn of the new year. This car fetched $4.4 million dollars at the auction over the past weekend. Some first estimates when the car was discovered has it valued over $8 million dollars. Another amazing Bugatti was found in Dubai’s Mall of Emirates in an amazing french racing blue color. If you follow the source link you will see items like Ettore Bugatti’s signature imbossed in both interior door panels and these amazing custom wheels that almsot remind me of old school Mugen M7′s. The middle east keeps pumping out these custom one off million dollar exotics that soon a non custom one will be just as rare if not more exclusive to the million dollar car club.

Check out this on bike motorcycle camera showing him having fun with a Bugatti Veyron and a Porsche Carrera GT. You can really see the speed of the Bugatti in this video and the Porsche comes out of no where! The only thing that could make this video better is less music and more engine sounds!

Yes, what your looking at above is a 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante found in a garage in the United Kingdom. This car is one of 17 Bugatti ever made. This one belonged to a British surgeon who passed away recently leaving his children a garage full of collectable cars. This was the true gem of the bunch which reportidly had not been driven in almost 50 years. At least four of the seventeen belong to the French Musée National de l’Automobile in Mulhouse, Alsace, while the others location are in private hands or remain unknown.
The odometer on the car reads 26,284 which is remarkable for a car from the 1930′s. The first owner of the vehicle was Earl Howe, the winner of the 24 Hours of LeMans in May of 1937. He had the car for eight years before selling it and eventually in 1955 it made it’s way to Harold Carr. The car is causing a big stir among collectors who think it could possibly be the most expensive car ever to be bought at auction surpassing the current $8,700,000 mark held by a 1931 Bugatti currently.
